Hey Guys
Oh I've been gone too long.
In the past 6 weeks-ish I've gone to NYC, worked on a play, taken AP exams, broke up with Jack, and now I'm finally winding down the school year.
I'll write up a longer post and put up some New York pictures soon :)

New Product Review
3 nail polishes and 1 eyeliner today, let's begin!
Sinful Colors, Mint Apple: I've used Sinful Colors before and was never too happy but like this jade color. It wasn't easy applying simply because I was doing my toes however I do like this. It applies well and was opaque in three thing coats, I like the slight shimmer and it makes a great spring color.
Revlon, Minted: I bought a few Revlon polishes recently; a lavender, silver, base coat, royal purple, and this mint, and I was surprised. I expected a very average nail polish but I love Revlon polish now! In 2 coats Minted was opaque which is rare for a pastel, all the polishes just glide on and stay for a while, highly recommended.

Essie, Shine of the Times: Well everyone has been talking about this topcoat, so last time I was at target I finally bucked up and bought it. I really like this, it's your typical Essie quality, which is good. There's a wide range of colors depending on your base. I have coral on my fingers and jade on my toes with this over both and it look so different. I like this simply because it's so eye catching.
Maybelline, Master Precise Eyeliner Pen: As a drug store brand I really like maybelline, and as usual they didn't fail to deliver. I was looking for a good black eyeliner pen since mine recently just ran out and I love this. It's great for thin lines, I was able to line just my lash lines, or thicker, it makes for a great cat eye. Plus, it's a true black which can be difficult. If you're starting out with liquid liner I would recommend this because it's easy to control and create that liquid liner look.

Lent
Kind of late but even though I'm not really religious I usually do give up something for Lent.
This year it might be shampoo...
Sounds a little crazy but on all the "green beauty" blogs I've read they're all in love with no shampoo, apparently you wash your hair with a little baking soda once a week and that's plenty.
Should I? I feel like I should but but I don't knooooow

Steam Your Face
Think this sounds a little bit dangerous? Well, think again.
So we all know hot things open up your pores making it easier to get things like blackheads out, and we also know natural oils can be good for your skin. Now we combine the two...

So we all know hot things open up your pores making it easier to get things like blackheads out, and we also know natural oils can be good for your skin. Now we combine the two...
You'll need:
- a washcloth
- a large cup
- natural oils (I like olive and tea tree)
- access to hot water
- Start with a freshly washed face, no scrubbing though
- Get some steaming hot water and put it in your cup/glass thing
- Smush your wash cloth in there (this will be explained)
- Put a thin layer of oils on your face, I just poured them in my hand then smeared them on, mostly olive oil with a little tea tree
- Take your hot washcloth and lay it on your face, please be careful.
- Once it cools wring it out and dunk it in the hot water again and work in small circles around your face.
- Repeat if necessary
- Rinse with cold water to seal pores

Last Friday Night
Well technically this Friday night, was a fun night. My mom was being an ass so I stayed at my friend Zack's house. We messed around with his guitars and piano. I also got stoned for the first time and drew, came up with a few good things, I posted them here (all they way at the bottom). Although nothing happened he was convinced the entire thing was an elaborate scheme to sleep with him because I hadn't seen him in a while...anyways it was nice.

A Thing You Should Get:
e.l.f. makeup, all of it.
I wouldn't recommend buying foundations there, it's too small of a selection but I have tried a lot of the eye makeup and love the price and quality

Watercolor Nails
What you'll need:
- Base Coat, I'm using Revlon multi-care (965)
- A few colors, they don't have to be in the same color family but they should be lighter and darker than one another (Revlon Charming 211, Impulsive 240, Essie Velvet Voyeur)
- Top coat (Sally Hansen 33)
- A makeup sponge (this is what creates the entire nail look
*The colors are so off here sorry
Paint your nails with the lightest color, mine are Lavender. I love this color, it's the best pastel I've ever found, one coat and solidly opaque.
Tear of a piece of your sponge at the corner. Tearing works better than cutting because it ensures the rough texture you'll need.
After your base dries paint your next color onto the sponge and lightly dot on half of the nail.
This is the texture you're going for
Repeat with the other color(s), let dry, then add a top coat!
You might have to clean up around your nails a bit too. Can do this with as many or as few colors as you want, and again they don't have to be in the same color family.
